About the event:
This year the Planetary Healing Centre in Balerno is celebrating 20 years of the charity, making it 20 years of consistent action, creating solutions for mind, body, spirit and for our planet. To celebrate our 20 years, we are hosting an open day in our community woodland with 3 points of community focus: information, consultation and engagement. Join us and meet our trustees, coordinators and project facilitators!

Time: 2:30pm to 6pm
Feel free to arrive at any point during the day.
Where: Planetary Healing Centre Community Woodland
The main intention of the open day is to determine how our charity’s initiatives and projects can benefit diverse communities around Edinburgh and beyond, exploring how we can make our activities more inclusive for all and get more people involved in the planning and delivery of our projects in the future.
The day is an opportunity for you to find out more about our projects, have a taster of our work and find out more about volunteering with us. We would like to find out what would you like to see The Planetary Healing Centre offering in the future!
About the Fire Ceremony (with Francesco)
Chanting & Harmonic Songs by the Fireside!
…From around 17:00 to 18:00 but Spirit will dictate the right times…. :)
An opportunity to gather in ritual to light a fire together as a community, sow seeds of intention for this Spring Equinox (& Full Moon!) & to celebrate the 20 years of the Centre!
The ritual will be led by Francesco and will include an opportunity for people to come together and sing from the heart in harmony with others.
Francesco will offer and lead some simple prayer songs, mantra and rounds to rejoice in a shared harmony below the New Moon and in front of the Sacred Fire.
(Feel free to bring an offering for the fire as there will be opportunities to give them to the central fire!)
About Francesco:
Francesco Benvenuti is a passionate Vocal & Embodiment Coach, Shiatsu Massage Practitioner, Singing voice facilitator, Ceremonial space holder and a Carrier of the Sacred Fire. He has been connected to The Planetary Healing Centre for many year as well as in many other community project in Edinburgh for 15 years, being one of the founding members of SHRUB (Swap & Reuse Hub), & currently working for the Salisbury Centre. Francesco offers a wide variety of highly appreciated holistic workshops, classes & ceremonies to the community. He also composes his own songs which he loves sharing (under the artist name “Harmonic Mirrors”) in a variety of community & ceremonial settings and festival.
